? “Item is frozen in warehouse and bin location” — but nothing was frozen

A customer reported they could not create inventory transactions and received this error:

❌ Item is frozen in warehouse 01 and bin location

First check:
✅ Item Master Data → Warehouse tab
➡️ The warehouse was not frozen

So what was really happening?

? Root cause
There was an open Inventory Accounting transaction for that item, in that warehouse and bin location.

While this transaction is open, SAP Business One locks inventory movements for that specific combination, even though the warehouse itself is not frozen.

Once the open Inventory Accounting transaction was completed, the issue was resolved.
