Fixing the "Send As Denied" Error with Microsoft 365 Mailer Service

Modified on Wed, 1 Jul at 11:27 AM

SAP Business One Mailer Service authenticates using the mailbox configured in the Mailer Service (for example, noreply@company.com).

When an SAP user sends an email, Exchange Online verifies whether the authenticated mailbox has permission to send as the sender's email address.

If it doesn't, Exchange blocks the email with the 554 5.2.252 SendAsDenied error.

The solution

✅ In Micrososoft 365  grant the shared mailbox Send As permission for the email address configured in the Mailer Service.
